Greetings Kerouacians!
We have a lot of cool stuff at the Kerouac House this month.
In addition to the events we host, like the ones below, we also are a place where other individuals or groups can do their thing. True, we’re not a good venue for your full moon drum circle, but from time to time people have held their parties, meetings, book clubs, seminars, seances, book releases, and more at Jack’s.
Our generally sold-out house concerts seat up to 55 people; open houses can accommodate 75-100 at a time, more if spaced out over several hours, like during our Underground Book Fairs. So the next time you are planning an event, consider the Kerouac House as a cool location to hold it. Make inquiries through the “contact” button on our website: stpetekerouachouse.org
In April, we are hosting the following events:
Friday 04/04:
The Songwriter Club, our monthly house concert, doors @6 pm, show 7-10 pm.
This month's performers include Caleb Caudle, Will Quinlan, and our resident music czar, Shawn Kyle. Caudle's critically acclaimed catalog includes features on Rolling Stone’s “10 New Country Artists You Need To Know” and “The 10 Best Country and Americana Songs To Hear Now” along with NPR’s “Songs We Love”. His songs have been featured on CMT’s Nashville and Netflix’s The Ranch. When Caleb isn’t touring the world, he resides in Nashville, TN.
Tampa, FL-based country singer, songwriter, and guitarist Will Quinlan led the bands Pagan Saints and Murder Creek before forming the Diviners. Quinlan's music reflects the soul of the American heartland with his honest and real storytelling. His heartfelt singing and the guitar playing he does immerse the listener in the music. Y’all come out to hear some great songs and stories from these three great musicians.
