The Jack Kerouac House does not have specific times when it is open to the public since it is in a residential neighborhood although we do arrange private tours or stays when we can.
Overnight Stays are arranged on a case-by-case basis. Up to 5 guests can stay up to a week at the Kerouac House for a tax-deductible donation and cleaning fee.
Docent Guided Private Tours for 1 -30 people can be arranged for a tax-deductible donation.
Besides being the last home of the Kerouac's, the house is a lovely 3/3, mid-century home with a big porch and fenced backyard close to all the action in downtown St. Petersburg. The three bedrooms have a queen, full, and single bed, respectively. It is equipped with all the amenities you would expect at a vacation rental. The house is virtually unchanged in and out since 1963. Many of the furnishings and other items in the house belonged to the Kerouac's, so anyone staying there must behave accordingly; i.e. as if the chairs you are sitting on and the records you are playing are artifacts (which they are).
