TOURS & STAYS

The Jack Kerouac House does not have specific times when it is open to the public since it is in a residential neighborhood although we do arrange private tours or stays when we can.

Private visits - overnight or otherwise - are arranged on a case-by-case basis.  For now, you and up to four other guests can stay at the house for a tax-deductible donation of at least $250 a night plus a one-time $100 cleaning fee; if you want to stay several days, perhaps we can reduce the daily donation amount.

Guided private tours can be arranged for a minimum donation of $100 for 1- 4 people, though tours can be arranged for up to 115 people. All donations, of course, will go directly to maintaining the house and events we host. Everything at the Kerouac House is done by volunteers.

Besides being the last home of the Kerouac's, the house is a lovely 3/3, mid-century home with a big porch and fenced backyard close to all the action in downtown St. Petersburg. The three bedrooms have a queen, full, and single bed, respectively.  It is equipped with all the amenities you would expect at a vacation rental.  The house is virtually unchanged in and out since 1963.  Many of the furnishings and other items in the house belonged to the Kerouac's, so anyone staying there must behave accordingly; i.e. as if the chairs you are sitting on and the records you are playing are artifacts (which they are).
