Baseball Heaven:
An Evening with Peter Golonbock

Join The Jack Kerouac House for an evening with NYT best-selling author Peter Golenbock to celebrate the release of his latest book, BASEBALL HEAVEN. For fifty years, Golenbock, a St. Petersburg resident, has been interviewing some of the most fascinating figures in baseball. Their conversations are a journey back in time to the days of Ruth & Gehrig, Gehringer & Greenberg, Robinson & Reese, Howard & Mantle, as they reflect on the sport’s greatest moments and biggest issues. Peter will also talk about Kerouac's love of baseball and will follow with a Q & A session. Single and couples tickets include 1 signed copy of Baseball Heaven & a house tour. Coffee and Poetry at Jack's House

The Jack Kerouac House of St. Petersburg is pleased to feature Tampa Bay Poet Impresario Dennis Amadeus!

There will be a $10 Cover Charge featuring baked goods from Chef Shelley, as well as performances from some of Tampa Bay's best poets, including MC Larry Jaffe, The Poet in Residence at the Jack Kerouac House of St Petersburg.

This month's featured poet, Dennis Amadeus, is a nationally traveled spoken word artist, poetry slam champion, writer, teaching artist, and youth advocate. Amadeus has been a Tampa representative in 2 National Poetry Slam competitions, and 7 Southern Fried Southeast Regional competitions placing 6th out of 150+ poets overall in 2017. He is the co-founder of GrowHouse – a Tampa event production company, and a member of the international poetry collective Black on Black Rhyme.

Dennis has self-published 2 Poetry chapbooks and currently has a Spoken Word/Music album that is available on all streaming platforms titled “Waiting On the Bus”. Amadeus has been a featured performer at venues all across the U.S. from L.A. to FL to NY and many stops in between. Dennis is currently working on his first full-length poetry book entitled Dilapidated.
